Ahhhh bliss. It's morning and there's good tea. And I've just had a massive breakfast of eggs and bacon and good bread with a heap of HP sauce. Mmmmm.
Yesterday’s adventures started with a ridiculous amount of rain but in the end turned into a beautiful day. Yeah for sun!
After driving through the Bovington Tank Range, which was luckily closed for the day, we stopped in a little town called Wool to pick up some bread for dinner. I love all of the thatched roof houses and pubs everywhere.
After an interesting diversion (detour), we ended up in Lulworth, a little fishing village, to see the Durdle Door. Apparently, Durdle means eye of the needle or piercing in Anglo-Saxon. Whatever it means, the cliffs around it were beautiful! It was fun to walk by the fields of wheat and beef cows (and the caravan park!) and I’m so glad I rented the lens I did. It is certainly was a good choice!

And the ocean! Ooooh ocean, how much I have missed you!!!!
We found a teeny tiny pub and had some fish and chips and a pint. Mmmmm English beer! It has been funny to see Coors ads on tv here. Not sure I would drink Coors ever if I lived over here! I had a lovely pint of Badger.
After lunch it was off to Chisel Beach in Portland where I got to see Vicky Pollard in all her chavtastic glory (sorry, no pictures of Vicky).
All in all a great, blissful, sunny day capped off with a yummy dinner and a walk on the beach. Life is rough!
This morning we are headed to Nottingham for a mini-Windridge reunion and for some hiking in the Peak District. It’s the British Grand Prix as well so we are hoping to miss that traffic on the way. This has been quite the adventure so far and I’m having a great time. I’ll be back in a few days with another update and then it’s off to Greece!
